Today’s Daily Prompt:
Write a story about yourself from the perspective of an object, thing, animal, or another person.
Photographers, artists, poets: show us PERSPECTIVE.
I have this neighbor and well, she’s a mental case. That’s the most polite way I can put it. A few months ago, I started writing down some random things I thought might be running through her brain. All of these are based on actual incidents. I couldn’t make this stuff up even if I wanted to!
My daughter’s head hurts. I know April was up last night shining that laser-beam into our windows again. I told the sheriff about how I bought it three years ago and how April stole it when she broke into my trailer. I told him about how she has been torturing us with it for the past three years. He didn’t believe me. And then she heard me telling him about it. Of course, she called me crazy and denied everything.
I wish my daughter would wear the aluminum hat I made for her. It will protect her from April’s attacks but she just won’t listen. I wear mine all the time. I don’t care what other people think. It will protect me from that evil girl.
The Cookie Incident
I made these fantastic cookies for my neighbor. She usually accepts anything I give her. She even took the rotten fish that one time. But today she freaked out. She asked me why I would bring her cookies the day after I called her a bad mother. I thought maybe I could help her kids out by doing something nice to make up for how inadequate she is at parenting. I bet she never made cookies for her kids.
Well, I had no choice when she started screaming at me. I had to remind her that I knew everything. I know how she steals my electricity. Yep, I know that she dug a tunnel underneath the road and is running up my bill. I know about her breaking into my house and muddying up my carpets and stealing my clothes. I know that she has hacked into my internet and steals that, too. She didn’t think I knew all of it, but I do. I wish she would just leave me alone!
I love my boyfriend. I really do but there’s a problem. My boyfriend cheats on me with my neighbors. I know because I caught him. I watched through the windows. I saw him swapping butt juices with April’s husband. I also caught him with the other neighbors – the lesbian girls. I know he cheated. I just know it. I tried to warn them all but they won’t listen.
They never listen to me!
Mexicans and Crack
I had to call the cops again. I heard noises. It was April on my roof again. Banging away. She denied it again. I bet she’s hired some Mexicans to beat on my house. I hear them out there all the time. I wish she would just leave me alone!
The other night I caught her smoking crack outside of my bedroom window. I know it was her. When I got out there she was gone. But I know it was her. She is always smoking crack outside of my bedroom window.
