Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

No Matter What

When I think of home, the feeling is complicated. But I am not going to go there. For this challenge, I think the most appropriate answer is the lizard sunning in the front yard. I haven’t spotted him yet because I’m sitting here typing. But I will see him soon.

He lives in the aloe plants that have taken over my front garden. We started with two aloes and now have many more. They are completely inhabited by lizards. Considering the mess named Nemo, currently in progress in the northeast, I am happy that my home includes a lizard sunning in the front yard.

I found three! Then my neighbor started yelling. Then a hello. I responded and they all ran away. :(
